Samira was born within the Axis of Evil and snuck into the US before her people were banned. Disenchanted by too much sun, she now lives in Oregon, where she thrives in gloom and seasonal mood swings. She is a Moth GrandSlam champion and has appeared on RISK, the Moth Radio Hour, and Pickathon. Offstage, she is a real-estate agent and an activist with FreeIranPDX working to amplify the voices of Iranian people.
