Not everyone finds their path early. Some of us wander, change directions, start over, or discover our voice long after we thought we were supposed to have everything figured out.

Join us for an evening of true stories inspired by the theme Late Bloomer. Four Portland storytellers share personal stories about finding purpose later than expected, changing course, taking chances, and growing into the people they were always meant to become, just on their own timeline.

These are stories about missed turns that led somewhere better, quiet beginnings that turned into bold steps, and the strange, beautiful realization that life doesn’t follow a schedule. Sometimes the things that take the longest to grow end up being the most meaningful.

Come solo, bring friends, or come exactly as you are. Come for the stories. Stay for the reminder that blooming late is still blooming.

Our featured storytellers for this show are Samira Sahebi, Flynne Olivarez, Sat, and Sean Wynn.

Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow? explores love in all its forms. The rush of infatuation, the quiet work of self-love, the steadiness of friendship, and the messy, beautiful uncertainty of romance. Through honest, funny, and deeply human stories, our storytellers reflect on what it means to want connection, to fear losing it, and to learn how to stay open anyway.

You Are Not Alone isn’t just about listening; it’s about recognizing pieces of your own story in someone else’s. Whether you’re partnered, single, healing, hopeful, or unsure, this night is an invitation to feel, reflect, and remember that whatever stage of love you’re in, you’re not the only one asking the question.

Our featured storytellers for this show are Amirra Patterson, Will Fernandez, Wendy Newcomb-Walke, and Natalie Haddad.

The holidays bring out all kinds of spirits, the joyful, the restless, and sometimes the slightly tipsy. They remind us of who we love, what we’ve lost, and how complicated it can be to gather around the same table year after year.

Join us for an evening of true stories inspired by the season: tales of family chaos, unexpected grace, ghostly memories, and the strange magic that shows up when we least expect it. Four Portland storytellers share funny, heartfelt, and deeply human moments that capture the highs and lows of the holidays.

This isn’t a night about picture-perfect celebrations. It’s about what happens when the wrapping paper rips, the pie burns, and we still find something beautiful (or hilarious) in the mess.

Family, friends, and neighbors aren’t just the people around us, they’re the people who shape us. They test our patience, remind us who we are, and sometimes surprise us with unexpected grace.

Join us for an evening of true stories that celebrate the ties that hold us together and the moments that stretch them thin. Four Portland storytellers step up to share funny, raw, and deeply human tales about the beautiful mess of being in community with one another. This isn’t a night about perfect families or flawless friendships. It’s about the real stuff, the awkward moments, the small kindnesses, the arguments that taught us something, and the neighbors who changed everything.

Our featured storytellers for this show are Jhordan Blumenberg, Katie Nguyen, Iris Rivera, and Anjene Bryant.

Join us for a special evening of storytelling that explores the many ways fear shows up in our lives and how it can protect us, guide us, and even transform us. Four Portland storytellers take the mic to share real, honest, funny, and tender stories.

This isn’t a night about avoiding fear, but about reimagining it; as a signal, a compass, a gift. Whether you’ve faced down big moments of danger, wrestled with quiet anxieties, or simply want to hear how others navigate the unknown, you’ll find connection and community here.

Our featured storytellers for this show are Alex Dang, Courtenay Hameister, Darshanpreet Gill, and Jamiel Brown.

Join us for a special evening of storytelling that explores what it means to be alone and connected. Four of Portland’s most compelling, single voices take the mic—not to talk about dating apps or heartbreak—but rather to share real, honest, funny, and tender stories.

Featured storytellers: Afrita Davis, Mariah Mercedes Muñoz, Nishat Akhtar and Randy Smith.

Front Porch Sessions and the Connection Cure have collaborated to create an engaging and fun event that will foster community connection through a blend of captivating storytelling and interactive audience participation. Come listen, and engage in exciting conversations as we work together to build a stronger, more connected community through humor and science.

Your storytellers: Ash Allen, Canada Taylor, Jashan Singhal, Chris Williams & Lisa Grossman

On October 10th, Front Porch Sessions, in collaboration with Portland Center Stage, will host a fundraiser to assist those affected by the Maui fires. This evening will be filled with stories, compassion, and joy, as we come together in community to make a meaningful impact.

Storytelling. Comedy. Community.

The Turnout will celebrate Black History Month and Portland’s Black community by making connections across the city—sharing, learning and growing together through the power of story. February 16-19, 2023, in the heart of the Historic Alberta neighborhood, Broke Gravy, Front Porch Sessions and Alberta House will bring you storytelling, improv comedy, community building, and workshops. Come celebrate with us!

With Chris Williams as our emcee, two youth and one staff member will guide audiences through their stories and share the ways in which we can foster community with strangers!

Join Front Porch Sessions in helping to make less strangers in the world! These events are about listening and sharing with an open heart. Three storytellers will share a personal story around a chosen theme.

We are coming back again on the first day of Spring with three fresh storytellers. Nakita Simpson, Erin Jean O'Regan and Alexander Dang are all busy preparing to help us make less strangers in the world!

Join us for the last Front Porch Sessions of 2019. Come on down to the Alberta Street Pub on December 19th and listen to three community storytellers (Hannah Kim, Marshall Goss and Paige Hendrix Buckner) share their tales inspired by the theme SNOW DAY!
