I’m a proud Chicano (Mexican-American) with Japanese heritage, born in Los Angeles and rooted in North Portland for the past 28 years. As a first-generation American, I’ve spent over 15 years championing youth and advancing educational equity. Currently, I serve as an investigator for Oregon’s largest school district and work closely with students at Job Corps. My passion lies in creating opportunities and fostering inclusive communities where all young people can thrive. When I’m not working, you’ll find me exploring the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest or enjoying quality time with my incredible wife and our two sons.
